    Features of HP inks

» UV printing ink

UV-curable ink (UVC) can form colorant layer on the surface of printing material and can be used with any hard and flexible materials. When flexible medium is used for printing, it can be free to fold up & roll up, and will not lead to the breakdown of the ink layer.

Due to liquid monomers and oligomers in UVC ink intermedium, the ink will not be really “dry” - liquid monomer will be solidified through UV light source in the printer, and then form the solid colorant layer. As a result, the printer can output completely dry printing materials which can be used at any time.

HP products can prevent waterproofing printing materials from fading when they are displayed in the outdoor for more than two years, ensure that they are wear-resisting, not easy to be damaged when it is cleaned by isopropyl alcohol, ethyl alcohol, soapy water and window cleaners (ammonia).

» Water- based ink

Printers with water - based ink can be installed in offices and large-scale facilities, which can not only save production cost, but also avoid installing ventilation facilities, reducing harm to health, safety and environment.

The option can take advantage of heat and airflow with the feature of natural volatilization to speed up the drying process in most of the mediums, so that the water-based ink becomes an attractive solution for large-scale printing material, and print-out copies can be covered with membrane and used at once because the printing ink medium won’t break away from printing material. These inks usually require coating or absorbent printing medium.

In particular, HP Vivera ink can output waterproofing and antifouling print-out copies with vivid color due to adoption of specific elements. Moreover, HP Vivera ink offers excellent printing quality and durable output effect.

» Solvent ink

Solvent ink can provide anti-fading and waterproofing printouts on the uncoated printing material at low cost. The feature means that the printing cost for solvent ink is lower than that of water-based ink.

Volatile organic compounds (VOC) can release slowly, so the potential health and safety harm can be caused in storage, processing and printing. However, in the current "quick-drying" technologies, the ink can be attached to papers by solidification or absorption, so it would not release VOC. Based on appropriate installation, operator training and complying with all relevant health and safety rules, ink-jet printers with solvent ink can not only increase profitability, but also achieve operational processes of safety and environmental protection. HP Designjet 8000s, 9000s and 10000s series of printers can fully show the value of solvent ink, and output rich color, especially gorgeous red when the ECO ink is adopted.
